Why, because when I have problems with vector tools, that don’t cross over into bitmapped ones, I’m on my own!
This forces me to be more creative, and to be rigorous in finding out what causing the problem.
The first stage is to produce the text, using Inkscape. The image is then transfered to Pencil2D using a .PNG file and loaded into a bitmapped layer.
[Vector_Text]
This is then overdrawn using the Polyline Tool.
[Vector_Text-2]
This initial tracing requires a little editing,
[Vector_Text-3]
When complete this is then filled. Then the magic of vector images can commence.
The image, of text in this case can be enlarged. Because it’s a vector image, it does not pixelate.
[Vector_Text-4]
…
The above task, forced me to think about what ‘good enough’?
I’ve used many pieces of creative software, even those from the US based ‘A’ company, without the use of ‘workarounds’ to acheive the desired results!
I enjoy the process of getting the best results and the necessary problem solving. I’ve been using Pencil2D, vector tools, for years, for production projects.
The animation below, is of course not a finished 1, but it is an experiment to try a new idea out.
This file is the project file
Arm.pclx (11.7 KB)
It is not the most elegant animation that I’ve made, but there’s potential in it!
