Why is linux so short on Pencil2D versions?

IDK what you mean. Every version of Pencil2D is available for Linux. If you count different packages, there are far more versions of Pencil2D for Linux than any other platform. Flatpaks, AppImages, system packages for Debian, Ubuntu, Fedora, and Arch Linux. NixOS and KaOS also have packages but with some issues.
