I’m a MOD here in the Pencil2D forum as you might know. Please I urge you not to share any of your personal information, nor to email anyone who says they’re going to be your friends. Most of these people are spammers, you can notice by visiting their profiles and looking at their repeated messages on every other “new member”
So far it has avoided the spam filter by spamming the same message on the profile updates of other memebers, a method other spammers have used in the past weeks as well. So I’m warning you, DO NOT INTERACT with these people through your personal email or else. IT’S FOR YOUR OWN SAKE.
I’m worried about your security but I can’t do anything to ban them since only the webmaster @gordie has that authority.
If you see anyone else exhibiting this behaviour please report them here by posting their profile address.
@gordie Please when you have some time check the entire thread since I’ve been updating all the current spammers. They are very active and take turns at spamming every single day. Please ban their emails as it’s very clear they ARE spammers and they keep flooding the activity page.
For those who have profile pictures, I’ve already investigated and those are stock pictures so please, ban them.
I still don’t have the ability to mute, disable or ban anyone through the link you gave me months ago.
Hi;
All of them have been marked as spammers; I guess you could clear this list as they should not be able to interact with users anymore.
Thanks!
PS I updated Wordpress and all plugins; with a bit of luck this will reduce the spam.
@gordie Hey man, glad to see you again! We’ve been hard at work as you can see. Thanks for getting rid of those guys. I tried the link you gave me before but It never worked So this was all I could do to help to get them banned. There are still some more people spamming like:
I’m a lot of my time browsing twitter and I can help moderating that one as well, like I do with the others. Please message me privately whenever you can to allow me to get that account moving so we can expand our media communications.
