I don’t want to write what the characters say so how do i type it?

@missingno1 I’m afraid Pencil2D doesn’t have a text tool implemented right now, although the Pencil2D team is aware of this need.

For now my recommendation is to leave the space blank and once you’re done with your drawn animation, export the video and import it into a video editor or video compositing software with this capability, there are a lot of free ones that come with this feature.

This way you can add the text at the post-production (animation would be production) as well as other elements you might have missed.

Hopefully in the future we can have a text tool to ease this problem, but for now it’s uncertain when it will be possible to implement due to the sheer amount of work left to improve the base program.
