When you open Pencil2D 2 produce a new file, how does Pencil2D choose which screen resolution to use?
@AnimatorElisa Hi. The default camera size output or “resolution” for a first time user is 800 x 600.
If you change that every other new file will have the last resolution you used applied to it.
If you use the project template system (Edit >Preferences > Files
) then the resolution will be the size you save as part of the project template (you would require to modify the camera size first then proceed to save the template so the change is part of the new template).
Every time you click in File > New File
it will use the template you set in the Preferences area.
One of this things with Pencil2D, that I like is the ability to change the screen resolution. Many animation packages, even paid for ones restrict the maximum screen resolution.
In some cases to smaller than the default on Pencil2D.
Thanks for the flexibility provided in Pencil2D.
