I’m using Linux and upgrades to Linux are made available on an incremental basis.
I was given a warning that an upgrade was available, to download. I didn’t save the active .PCLX file and I performed the download. There was no warning about rebooting the computer.
I then continued with editing the .PCLX file. All was well until I saved the project and then reloaded it from hard disk.
The main.XML file was corrupted, such that the sound files within the project were moved or deleted!
I as part of my workflow save my projects regularly, using different file names, Project_Name-x the x is a number. So that I could revert to a previous file and recreate the work easily.
WARNING
If you update the operating system, ALWAYS save your project before you perform the update and afterwards reboot the computer before proceeding with your project!
This problem also exists when using Mac computers and also can happen on rare occasions when using Windows!
