Getting the action to flow was the most difficult part of the process. There is no sound on this animation, this was a conciouse decision.
As you can observe in terms of layers, for me anyway this is a large number of layers.
You will observe that i’m drawing using vectors, rather than bitmapped images. I find this more logical than bitmap techniques. The only bitmapped layer is the 1 that hold the title and the concluding screens text. This was produced in Inkscape and exported as a .png file before inporting it into Penceil2D.
If you observe the manhole cover, you see it moves as a result of the impact?
There was an entry of this forum, asking what is the ‘correct’ work flow for aiming Pencil2D.
Work flow is a very personal set of choices, which re driven by the individuals strengths and weaknesses.
At school I excelled at line drawing, mainly characters from animated films. My Art Teach wad very scornful and when it came to choosing examination subjects, I was not allowed to study Art.
He considered Real Art to be painting with Oils or Acrylics, Sculpture and Photography.
Talking to his favourite student, who took the exams, non of them to any form of art today. I think that speaks volumes.
I’m sitting, with friends looking at this my latest animation and I’ve realise that within the Pencil2D discord forum, that I can stop, re-start animation and download. PNG files with a simple screen touch, when viewing on a smart phone.
