In Pencil2D version 0.6.6 you can place the sound layers below the master camera layer.
This cannot be done with version 0.7.0, is there a reason why this cannot be done. I find such ordering convenient.
There is a work around, you save a file with the layers ordered drawing layers, camera layers and then sound layers in version 0.6.6. You then save it and simply load it into Penceil2D version 0.7.0 and you can then place your sound layers beneath the master camera layer!
Certain things use the first camera layer on or below the current layer to determine their behavior. For example, the position of overlays are relative to that camera’s position. We force a camera layer to be at the bottom of each project so that those features do not break when you have a layer active with no camera layer underneath it.
The “workaround” loading old project is something I was already aware of, and will be removed in a future version of Pencil2D unless the behavior for determining the “active” camera is changed. I’m not necessarily against such a change, but I’m not aware of any plans or discussions relating to it so far. It would not surprise me at all if projects without a camera layer on the bottom cause v0.7.0 to crash under some circumstances.
