Dust Trail Practice Session

Finished a practice session I started a week ago this morning. I’m really proud of how it came out.

What do you guys think? Constructive criticism is welcome! :)

And here is the version with guidelines:

(By the way, only the red point and arrow as well as the timeline itself is animated/constructed in twos. The rest is animated in ones.)

I really like this as an exercise because it’s simple in content but it concentrates on the importance of image flow!

Alrighty, so I completed another dust trail animation. This time, I focused on practicing a dust trail zooming on a corner. I have to admit, while this was completed faster, it was more complex than the last dust trail. Nevertheless, I tried my best to make it look decent enough.

Took 2 days to complete.

And here’s the guidelines version:

Just like last time, only the red dot/arrow as well as the timeline is constructed/drawn in twos. The rest is drawn in ones.

Alrighty, here’s the final animation practice for now. Started this immediately after the second practice dust practice (the corner dust trail one) and took me three days to complete. At first, I didn’t know how I could construct the form of the animation.

Then I remembered that Akira existed. :P

So, yeah. Overall, I’m not proud of how it came out to be, but it is what it is. Hopefully, by next time, I should remember simplifying the dust forms into circles and triangles.

And here’s the guidelines. Unfortunately, there’s no timeline—or frame count on the top right. ONLY the dust with the sharp edges is animated in ones. The rest is animated in twos.
