Copy and paste doesnt work as expected

When i copy something on a bitmap layer, i can move it on the canvas with the cursor key, after i pasted it. This is okay, but the cursor only works once per click. There is no atomatic repeat. This is not okay, because i am sure my keyboard sends a repeat, which is only ignored by the software.
