Hi, I just started working with Pencil 2d and am having a lot of trouble with successfully getting the camera layer to zoom in.
I’ve watched several tutorials of folks showing how to do this. However, I keep coming across the same persistent issue.
After I create the camera zoom, I can view it in the timeline no issue.
Until I play it back. It’s difficult to explain, so I took a video.
I saw several people saying you need to press enter to confirm your transformation, but it isn’t doing anything. I’m not sure if there’s something I’m missing or if this is a legitimate bug. Any help would be appreciated.
The camera layer not updating during playback is a known bug that sometimes occurs in v0.6.6. Your video should still export with the correct camera movements even if you can’t preview it. One thing you can do if you need this is to download the latest nightly build (scroll down on our Downloads page). These builds have the latest features and fixes, including a fix for this issue. However they are more experimental that the stable builds. Backing up your project is always a good idea, but it is especially important when using a nightly build as it is a bit more likely to crash or corrupt your project.

That is for the move tool. The hand tool used for camera movements is applied instantly.
If you really want to preview camera motion during that playback, you can hold down the deselect option while it’s playing. That’s what I do to get around this.
For me the deselect keys are Ctrl + D, but it may be different for you!
