In my opinion, the process of drawing frames and exporting the movie has to be in complete different spaces. Else it confuses the whole process for any user.
Drawing and Rendering are two different work places, especially since the new model of the camera came in.
There must be a button in the gui to switch between those two program pieces and the screen needs to switch the tools around to fit the work to be done.
