# Timeline keeps vanishing

Hi I am new to Pencil 2d, I have tried to do some things, but all it takes is for me to change tool or colour or anything and the timeline completely vanishes from the bottom. Clt 6 doesn’t work, and the only thing I find helps is the exiting the program and then restarting but this has lead to one of my layers becoming unusable… I am not what what I can do to fix this.

Hi @Slytherpuffpride! Sorry for the late reply, unfortunately your topic seems to have flown under the radar. There is a known issue in our latest version that causes display problems with the timeline on smaller screens, and I suspect that your troubles are related to that. Please try the workaround from this post and let us know if it helps:
