Sound plays before animation

So this has been happening for a while now. When I play the animation from a certain point on the timeline the audio and animation are in perfect sync. But when I play from the beginning it is off sync. The sound plays before the animation.

Hi @soup

Which version of Pencil2D are you using? we’ve had various bugs with out of sync playback but most of them have been fixed now, so make sure that you are using the latest version (0.6.4)

@soup as @MrStevns says, please update to version 0.6.4. It will help ease the issue.

However currently there is still an off-sync problem where the exported video sound is not aligned with how it is found in the editor, even with the latest version.

This has been discussed here: https://github.com/pencil2d/pencil/issues/1179 and here https://github.com/pencil2d/pencil/issues/1157#issuecomment-455354047 but right now there is not definitive fix for the frame difference. For most users it varies. Some have from 1 up to 3 frames of difference between editor and exported video. Rare cases occur where people with up to 14 frames, but these are isolated cases.

For now please use a video editor to masterize & finalize your audio like any professional animator would and only use Pencil2D to plan your dialogue and music beats.

Ok. I’ll be sure to check.
