With the current versions, when I zoom-in or out using ctrl+scroll, the zoom happens at the centre of the canvas, rather than where my cursor is at. It will be a bit handy as it helps me target where I want to zoom in/out from.

YES!, this should totally be implemented, although we need to wait after stability issues have been resolved, as I’m sure this messes a bit more with the code.
